From a strong team, taking points hits added nothing - two strategies finished within a single point of each other. From a weak start, well-judged hits to dig out were worth a lot.

Looking six gameweeks ahead beats reacting one week at a time. Head-to-head, the short-sighted planner lost almost every time.
A strong squad wins by staying patient
With a good team, the best move is usually no move. A patient, no-hits approach posted a top-10k season making only about 29 transfers all year.

Our points projections blend expected goals and assists with each player's Fantasy Rating, which cuts the big misses a ratings-only model makes.
