The players market tracks FPL price changes as they happen: which players rose or fell overnight, who the most transferred-in players are right now, and where net-transfer momentum is building. Price moves follow manager behaviour, not points - a player can blank on Saturday and still rise on Tuesday because half a million managers are buying ahead of a fixture swing.
Every price move matters more than its £0.1m face value. Selling a faller a day late costs you the drop; catching a riser a day early banks value you can spend later. Over a 38-gameweek season, managers who watch the market typically carry £1-2m more squad value than managers who ignore it - that is the difference between affording two premiums or three.
The table shows live net transfers for every player. As a rule of thumb, a player deep below roughly -100,000 net transfers is at risk of dropping at the next overnight update - if you were planning to sell anyway, sell before the drop, not after. The reverse strategy (buying early purely to catch a rise) is usually a mistake: chasing £0.1m of value into a player your plan didn't want is how price moves trick managers into bad transfers. Let your transfer plan pick the player and the market data pick the timing.
