Settle FPL transfer debates with a side-by-side comparison

Every transfer is really a player comparison: Saka or Palmer? The £4.5m defender you own or the one everyone is buying? Add up to ten Premier League players and read them two ways: the weeks ahead, where the table shows projected points, price and fixtures, and the season behind, where it shows goals, assists, expected goals and assists per 90, minutes and ownership. They are the same numbers our planner uses, so what convinces you here is what the optimiser acts on there.

Two tips for reading a comparison. First, prefer projected points over the next few gameweeks to season totals - totals reward the past, projections price in upcoming fixtures and current role. Second, read ownership as risk appetite: picking the 40%-owned option protects your rank, picking the 5%-owned option attacks it. When a comparison is close on points, that difference in ownership is usually the real decision. Shortlist candidates from the player ratings table, and when you've picked a winner, let the team planner tell you when to make the move.

How do I compare FPL players?
Add up to 10 players to the comparison. Each player’s rating, projected points, cost, goals, assists and ownership appears in a side-by-side table.
Can I compare players in different positions?
Yes. Projected points and rating bands are position-relative, so a defender’s rating of 80 is comparable to a midfielder’s 80 within their own pool.
Which stats matter most when comparing FPL players?
Projected points over the next few gameweeks is the best single number - it already folds in form, fixtures and role. Use ownership to judge whether a pick is a differential or a template player.
